Who We Are
ORIGIN
Hugh
Edward Sandefur Training Center, Inc. (HESTC) was incorporated as a
non-profit corporation in 1967. It is one of several Community
Rehabilitation Programs (CRPs) in the State of Kentucky.
POLICY
The Hugh Edward Sandefur Training Center, Inc. is governed
by an active Board of Directors who represent a cross-section of the
entire community. They volunteer time as a contribution to the
community.
This Board then charge the professional staff of HESTC
the task of carrying out the functions of the program.
PROGRAMS
Program Services include Vocational Evaluation,
Employment Development, Job Placement and long term Extended
Employment. Services are also provided in the areas of Adult Daily
Living, Day Habilitation and the development of acceptable Work and
Social Skills.
ELIGIBILITY
-
Must be at least 18 years of age and it is felt has
received maximum benefit from available school programs.

Must have a diagnosed physical, mental, or emotional
disability that could prevent gainful employment.

Must be ambulatory or mobile non-ambulatory.

Must possess basic self-help skills, i.e., bathroom
use, ability to dress oneself, etc.

Does not display frequent violent or destructive
behavior that is not controllable which could contribute danger to
oneself or others.

Training Center, Inc., is to provide individuals with disabilities
